Member-in-Charge – Tax and Accounting
Mr. Hicks is the member-in-charge of the small business tax and accounting department. He is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all tax and small business accounting engagements. He provides tax planning and consulting and represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, and state and local taxing authorities. Since entering the profession in the tax field in 1981, Mr. Hicks has helped many individuals and businesses with tax preparation and consulting, and estate planning. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hicks was a manager with KPMG Peat Marwick, where he specialized in income tax matters.
Mr. Hicks is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Charleston Chapter of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Kent State University.
