Member-in-Charge – Public Finance, Settlement Administration
Ms. Bak is responsible for management of the firm’s finance, settlement administration and other consulting engagements. Her primary areas of expertise include preparing and evaluating business plans, financial forecasts and projections and specialty municipal finance engagements, including audit, arbitrage and verification; class action settlement administration and database applications; and, other specialty consulting engagements. Prior to establishing the finance division, Ms. Bak was manager of the firm’s audit division and administrator of the firms’ quality control program.  Prior to joining Smith, Cochran & Hicks, PLLC in 1989, Ms. Bak was a senior accountant with S.R. Snodgrass & Co., and an accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick, providing her with extensive experience in municipal and institutional finance audits and consulting, and governmental auditing. 

Ms. Bak is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
