Member-In-Charge – Accounting and Assurance, Quality Control Director
Mr. Smith joined the firm in 1997 and has extensive experience in all areas of public accounting but focuses primarily on assurance services and special projects. He oversees the majority of the firm’s review, compilation and other attestation engagements, including examinations and agreed-upon procedures.
He also manages the firm’s premium audit division, which is comprised of a team of premium auditors with diverse backgrounds ranging from Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) to Certified Insurance Premium Auditors (CIPAs) and Certified Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCUs).
Mr. Smith is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors, and an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
